The Original SoyLites

Having used SoyLites before and knowing their name in the industry this is one review I was super excited to write.

SoyLites products are made from oil that comes directly from the skin of the soybean. All their products are petroleum free and contain natural vitamin E and lecithin. Not only are each of the products designed to treat specific skin conditions but they are also formulated with a blend of essential oils that will help fix your mind too.

SoyLites Massaging candles are one of their bestsellers and after doing a poll in my office it was definitely the favourite too. The SoyLites Massage Candles are made from a pure soy bean oil, shea butter, avocado oil, coconut oil, grapeseed oil & essential oils. The candles come in a 220ML frosted tumbler and will give you approximately 50 hours of burn time. Retailing at R185 per candle, they come in a variety of awesome fragrances that contain essential oils that transfer pure nourishment and moisturising properties with great effects.

The SoyLites Soy Candles are also just as great. They are made from a soybean oil wax and essential oils. These deeply moisturising candles are fantastic to use while giving yourself a pedicure, treating your hands in these winter conditions or my favourite – under a paraffin pedicure treatment for my clients. They are available in a variety of sizes and fragrances which also are a great idea to add to a birthday present or as house warming gift.

Soylite also has a variety of different products such as Soy Body Bars, Ladybird Body Balms, Luxury body oil, Lip Balms and Massage Body Balms.

I had the pleasure of reviewing the Relaxation Body Massage Balm which has a really pungent Neroli, Lemongrass and Ceaderwood fragrance. This body butter is made from Pure Soya Bean Oil, Boabab Oil, Jojoba Oil, Coconut Oil, Raw Beeswax, Avocado Oil and essential oils which will provide your skin with effective moisturising nourishment, without a greasy residue. Ranging from R99 – R215, therapists could use this as a great way to finish off a body scrub or you could simply use it as a hand/body remedy in this dry season.

Not only are these products so amazing to use in the comfort of your own home, but they are a “must have” for any spa or salon owner. Melting at 39°C the candles make a great addition to any massage or body treatment. They are 99% soot free, which means there is no black smoke when they are burning and each candle burns 50 – 75 % longer than the normal paraffin candles. Did I mention that all the products are NOT tested on animals?
