Tanvi (pronounced: tun-vee) has Hindu and Persian origins and in Sanskrit it means beautiful or delicate. At Tanvi nail & body bar that is exactly what we strive for – to make you feel even more beautiful than you already are.

Tanvi Nail & Body Bar is a sleek and sophisticated, yet warm and inviting nail bar that has opened in the heart of Illovo, Johannesburg. It has been designed for maximum lounge and minimum fuss. At Tanvi our goal is to make you feel pampered, relaxed and absolutely fabulous.

Tanvi offers a full range of nail and face treatments, combining the latest trends alongside popular classics. Our certified technicians and therapists will treat you to the highest quality in nail, waxing and facial services, using only the best products, like Zoya, Qtica, CND and
Regim A.

Hygiene

At Tanvi, hygiene is a priority. Each client will have the option to have their own set of files and buffers which will be set aside and used only on you when you come in for a treatment. All implements used in the treatments are triple sterilized for your complete piece of mind.

Nail Art Printer

At Tanvi we try to offer you some of the latest trends in the industry. The nail art can apply high quality images – in vibrant color and photographic clarity – directly onto natural or artificial nails in seconds. With over 3000 pictures for you to choose from, the only limiting factor is your imagination. And if that’s not enough, you can bring us your own photos or designs, which can be printed, onto your nails.

Loyalty Program

Customers who purchase ten manicures and pedicures together or a full set of acrylic nails will get their 11th service free.

Gift Vouchers

Please note that gift vouchers are non-transferable and have an expiry date. Gift vouchers must be presented at an appointment in order to be honored. Only one complimentary spa voucher per person can be redeemed at one time.

Philippa Abbott

I qualified as a Somatologist in JHB in 2001. I began my career in the spa industry working on cruise ships for Steiner Transocean. I furthered my studies on my return to SA qualifying in advanced make up and special effects. I then moved to London where I worked in 2 of the most prestigious spas. I acquired knowledge in all aspects if the spa business and moved quickly from hands on therapy to part of the management team. When I finally came back to South Africa to settle for good I joined the management team of the Spas of Distinction where I grew my skill set even further and established a professional network throughout the South African Spa Industry. It is here where my roots are now deep seated and where I will remain for good. I started Spa Sense in 2010 and we have grown from strength to strength every year since then; forming key relationships with all the industry specialists. I head up the consultancy division of Spa Sense and run many of our training courses including Front Office, SOPs and Spa Sales and Retail. I also oversee our recruitment division making sure that all my clients and candidates expectations are always exceeded by the level service they receive from my team. I am incredibly passionate about what I do and hope I remain blessed enough to be in this exciting industry forever.
